Education for aspiring students of animation

Like any education, one has to have a sense of the direction with one's career after graduation in order to maximize the experience. Many studios look at both your portfolio and your education, so don't underestimate the importance of graduating from a prestigious school. Sheridan is apparently so good its graduates are always in high demand. Emily Carr is my alma mater (it was a college when I attended their design program). Its program in Vancouver caters to the animation opportunities in both the large film and interactive industries in the region.
